TIPS FOR APRES SKI FUN AT STOWE

by Craig Altschul

Stowe staffer Jasmine McLean told the Burlington Free Press that “cocktails, friends and, often music,” make up the classic après-ski scene at the famed northern Vermont resort. “One of the best things about Stowe is that there are so many different places in town to enjoy an après-ski good time. There are traditional night clubs, but also the bar areas of most of Stowe’s 45 restaurants are hopping after 4 p.m. She suggests hitting Cactus Café or Frida’s for margaritas or Mr. Pickwick’s for a wide selection of beers. Want to stay on the mountain? Go for The Great Room Grill and Spruce Bar and the new Spruce Camp Base Lodge or The Den at Mansfield Base Lodge. Try the Hourglass at Stowe Mountain Lodge or the Fireside Tavern at the Inn at the Mountain at the base of the Toll House lift.
