ADULTS AREN’T LEFT OUT OF SMUGGS’ NIGHTLIFE

by Craig Altschul

For sure, Smugglers’ Notch is best known as a family ski resort where the kids get special attention. But, that doesn’t mean mom and pop can’t enjoy the nightlife. The Burlington Free Press has plenty of suggestions. The Bootleggers’ Lounge in the Village Lodge offers nightly entertainment starting at 9 p.m. and the weekly mix means magic, karaoke, dance nights, live music, and comedy. The Pub at Mountain Grille has a view of the slopes, hot and cold drinks, and light fare in front of the fieldstone fireplace. Black Bear Tavern in Sterling/Madonna Base Lodge will fill you up with snacks and Apres Sports parties. Then, there’s the Snowshoe Adventure Dinner Tuesday evenings on Sterling Mountain at The Top of the Norch. Work off dinner with a 40-minute snowshoe trek back to the base lodge. Price is $69 per person, including lift access, snowshoes, and a four-course dinner. BTW, it’s BYOB.
