BONDING ON HIGH SUITS BRISTOL DAD AND HIS DAUGHTER

by Craig Altschul

Bristol residents Tim Eaton, 50, and his daughter, Molly, 18, chose an atypical father-daughter bonding activity. Tim, a licensed pilot for 25 years, and Molly, a recent graduate of Mt. Abraham Union High School, were part of a program called Air Combat U.S.A., said the Addison County Independent, They spent just under an hour in flight, each in their separate plane, each with an experienced flight instructor. They practiced flying in formation and learned a few basic air combat maneuvers (the instructors handled the take off and landings). “It’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced,” said Molly. “Yeah, this isn’t your basic ride at the fair,” Tim added. Molly is headed to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida to major in aeronautical science. The cost to participate in the program is pricey at $1,400 per person, but the experience? Priceless.
