BROMLEY UPGRADES SNOWMAKING; PLANS NOV. 25 OPENING

by Craig Altschul

Some say Bromley is the “most Vermont” of the Vermont ski areas and certainly it’s among the most venerable, celebrating 75 years in January. The Peru ski area (in the Bromley-Stratton-Magic triangle) invested $600,000 into improvements over the summer. There’s a brand new 3,000-square foot facility just for kids and the learning area received a top-to-bottom makeover. There’s new Kids’ Cabin for warm-up and bathroom breaks and fully enclosed carpet lift. Kids in the new KidsRule Ski and Snowboard School programs will enjoy $70,000 worth of new rental equipment, including 300 pairs of Head skis and 100 Burton snowboards. Bromley has also become a Burton Learning Center, giving them access to specially made beginners snowboards and instructor training. Look for Orion, a new black diamond glade between Havoc and Pushover on the East Side. Plan on attending the 75th Anniversary celebrations Jan. 21-22, 2012.
