You can help Magic Mountain celebrate its official 50th anniversary Feb. 4 as the guest of honor. You’ll get 50 percent off lift tickets if you’re 50 years or older; retro ski outfits win you 10 percent off tickets; riding the #50 chair gets you actual prizes. Activities include a fun race for all age skiers and riders; an après ski trivia contest at the Black Line Brew Pub; a 50/50 raffle with proceeds going to Hurricane Irene relief efforts. The day ends with a buffet dinner with dancing to DJ-led tunes from the ‘60s to today. Magic Mountain was founded by Swiss ski instructor Hans Thorner. Happy Birthday, Magic.
