Homer’s hand, of Homer Simpson fame, will soon have a home at the newly relocated downtown offices of Springfield Chamber of Commerce. The bright yellow, 8-foot-tall hand holding a donut will be on permanent display. The hand is the most visible sign of this past summer’s premiere of "The Simpsons Movie," said The Rutland Herald. "The Hand," as it is known locally, holds a pink-frosted donut covered with sprinkles and has become a tourist attraction with people having their pictures taken in front of it. The Chamber has permission to sell Simpsons memorabilia and has included a small gift shop in their new facility. "We picked the office because it was downtown and with the Simpsons stuff, we wanted to be able to draw people downtown," chamber executive diretor Patty Chaffee, said. Duh?
