The calendar may say spring but apparently Mother Nature did not get the message as the cold weather has returned to Vermont. Here is the perfect hot chocolate recipe to take the chill out. Maple Hot Chocolate!
Butternut Mountain Farm located in Morrisville, VT calls this a sweet winter warmer. It is the perfect blend of cocoa, maple syrup and cinnamon and of course don’t forget the whipped cream on top.
Maple Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
3/4 cups whole milk
3 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
whipped cream, cinnamon and granulated maple sugar for garnish
Instructions:
Heat the milk until warm.
Add cocoa, maple syrup, cinnamon and stir until smooth and combined.
Top with whipped cream and sprinkle of maple sugar and cinnamon.
Now go and settle down with your favorite book and a nice cup of Maple Hot Chocolate!
