Thirty-five Champlain Valley cows – fiberglass cousins of residents of the field – are acquiring a new look thanks to local artists who are transferring their creative talent to the bovines. It’s all part of the Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Cows Come Home To Burlington” fundraiser, said the Burlington Free Press. The oh-so-pretty cows will be on display May through September and will be auctioned off at the end of the season. Part of the proceeds will benefit local programs of the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger. This is not the first time fiberglass “animals” were used to raise money for charities, as Moose in Bennington and horses in Manchester have gone through similar transitions. Chamber Regional Marketing and tourism Director Matt McMahon said, “I think some of these cows are really going to surprise visitors and locals alike with their creativity.” Check out the creative cows for yourself. You’ll be visibly mooooved
