LEARN TO SKI OR SNOWBOARD FOR $29 IN JANUARY

Vermont’s mountain resorts have joined together to offer beginning skiers and snowboarders the chance to learn the basics and begin a lifelong love affair with snow sports for $29 per lesson the entire month of January (excluding holidays of Jan. 1 and Jan. 14-15). The special lessons will include a full day lift ticket, full day skis or snowboard equipment rental, and a lesson with a professional instructor. Register by e-mail. [email protected]. The offer is limited to one beginner package per person. The program is held as part of National Learn To Ski And Snowboard Month. Some 10,000 lessons will be given, but be sure to note the age restrictions: Ages 4 and over, Bolton Valley; ages 6 and over, Smogglers’ Notch, Stowe, Sugarbush; ages 7 and over, Burke, Killington, Pico, Okemo; ages 8 and over, Jay Peak; ages 13 and over, Bromley, Mad River Glen, Mount Snow, Stratton.
