Love the Ones You’re With

I know that it’s been a few days since we have “talked” … the truth is I don’t have any funny stories to regale you with but I decided to write anyway. A lot has happened in my world since we last “met” … my Brazilian exchange student, Carolina, left to go back home to Brazil, (I cried like a two-year old baby), my Aunt Dolly was put into a nursing home (I cried like a five-year old baby), and my 37 year old cousin John from Virginia is fighting for his life with stomach and lung cancer and it does not look good (for this bit of news I was screaming and crying like a forty-eight year old lunatic!) So I guess you can see why being funny isn’t high on my priority list. That old saying “life is too short” is so damn true… spend time, quality time, with the ones you love because you never know if a Mack truck is around the corner waiting to take you, or them, out. Love doesn’t make the world go ’round, Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.

The only bright spot in all of this, and it seems shallow to even mention it, the Patriots won the AFC Sunday afternoon putting them at 18-0 and one victory away from perfection. Kudos to them and I for one will be rooting them on come Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd.
