Join in the fun at WinterFest that celebrates winter sports, winter fun, and winter fundraising at Magic Mountain, Sat. Feb. 25. The Vertical Challenge kicks off the event to see who can accumulate the most 1,700-foot vertical runs off the mountain’s west side from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. It cost nothing to enter; prizes will be given to the top three finishers. Maybe the Outdoor Snow-beach Volleyball Tournament at 4 p.m. is more your style. Or, check out the silent auction fundraiser in the lodge for the Magic Alpine Training Center supporting the race and freeskiing teams, from 4-7 p.m. There also will be a dinner for the fundraiser beginning at 5:30 p.m. The day culminates with a torchlight parade made up of skiers and boarders, followed by the fireworks finale.
