If you love chocolate, cheese, or chili (and who doesn’t?), you’re not going to want to miss the seventh annual Chocolate, Cheese and Chili Fest on August 7 at the Landgrove Inn in southwestern Vermont. Your entrance fee of $15 (pre-purchase, or $20 at the door; children over 5 at $10) is your passport to enjoy sampling all the goodies supplied by the region’s gourmet chefs and artisan cheese makers. The event will be held in a large 6,000 square foot tent on the beautiful grounds of the Landgrove Inn. In addition to delicious food, the event includes a silent auction, fabulous raffle prizes, music, and a cash bar. (You won’t believe some of the over 70 items offered in the silent auction – for example, a vacation package at Smugglers’ Notch, a stay at a Nova Scotia house, dinner for 4 at the Landgrove Inn, theater tickets, restaurant gift certificates, jewelry, and more.)
The event is the premier fund raising effort for Neighborhood Connections, a non-profit organization which provides a wide range of services for residents of south central Vermont. All services provided by Neighborhood Connections are free and the organization receives no state or federal money. It depends upon its neighbors and friends for financial support as well as the proceeds from the annual Chocolate, Cheese and Chili Fest. Here is your chance to have a day filled with fun and delicious food while doing good for those in the community.
