New Year’s Eve in Vermont

Ring in the New Year with special celebrations at these Vermont ski resorts.

okemonyOkemo Mountain Resort is hosting their Family New Year’s Eve. Midnight arrives early at Okemo for friends and family enjoying a whole host of activities.There will be a magic show, wagon rides, party hat decorating, bingo games and so much more. Ring in the New Year early with your family with a DJ dance party and you can still get the kids to bed in time for a full day on the slopes the next day. Calvin the Catamount will be making an appearance as he leads the kids in some fun party games. Balloons, noisemakers and fireworks add to the New Year celebration, complete with a kid’s dinner party including pizza and mac and cheese selections in the Roundhouse at Jackson Gore. Activities begin at 5 pm.

strattonnyStratton Mountain Resort is celebrating New Year’s with a fun-filled night of activities for the entire family.  Start the night off with dinner at Table 43.1 or a buffet dinner at the Base Lodge.  Bring the little ones to Kids Craft Night for an evening of arts and crafts including pinecone bird feeders, door hangers and more.  Enjoy a snowshoe hike up to mid-mountain to view the fireworks.  The evening also includes a torchlight parade and 21 jump salute.  For the 21 and over crowd, ring the new year at Grizzly’s New Year’s Eve party.

Magic Mountainmagic is welcoming in the new year with a NYE buffet dinner at the Black Line Tavern followed by music by the Go Gadget Go and wonderful fireworks display at midnight. The fun continues until 2:00 AM!

Enjoy an early evening Friendly Pirate party followed by a bonfire.  The fun continues with a torchlight parade and fireworks. After the fireworks, join Goodtime Charlie’s Musical Time Machine, a dance party for all ages! Adults can take the Karaoke spotlight on center stage at Bootlegger’s and sing the night away! For adults only, Smugglers’ Notch has a special dinner planned. Ride the Sterling lift to the Top of the Notch, a mountain cabin lit only by candles. The Hearth & Candle Restaurant serves a special gourmet dinner with appetizer, salad, choice of prime rib, scallops or their famous Vermont chicken, and a dessert. After dinner, work off those calories with a 40 minute snowshoe down to the Madonna/Sterling Base Lodge.
