OKEMO RAISES $7,600 TO ASSIST LOCAL FAMILIES

by Craig Altschul

Okemo Mountain Resort staff members have donated to the resort’s decade-old plus “Have a Heart Program” to support local families in need, raising the second greatest amount in the history of the campaign. One hundred percent of the campaign funds were shared evenly between Black River Good Neighbor Services, in Ludlow, and The Springfield Family Center, in Springfield. Staff members contributed $3,800.16. Okemo matched $3,800.16 for a grand total donation of $7600.32. “Our goal was to collect $2 from each staff member, have Okemo match the funds and contribute $6,000 to the campaign,” Okemo’s Carly Hoszkiewicz says. “However, because of the exceptional efforts put forward by our team, we reached $7,600!”
