Skiers and snowboarders can make a real difference for others this holiday season Sunday, Dec. 18 at Okemo Mountain Resort. Donate at least five non-perishable food items, a new child’s toy or new clothing item and receive a discounted day of skiing and riding. Donations will be accepted in the Clock Tower and Jackson Gore base areas between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Volunteers from Black River Good Neighbor Services Christmas Basket program will help distribute items to needy families in time for the holidays. Okemo is donating 100 frozen turkeys to the cause.
