PICK UP EQUIPMENT DEALS AT OKEMO SWAP NOV. 18-20

by Craig Altschul

Sometimes the best way to gear up for winter is to head to a Ski and Snowboard Swap. Okemo’s Bonnie MacPherson tells Vermont Winter News that a swap to benefit Okemo Mountain School in Ludlow is all set for Nov. 18-20. There will be plenty of good deals on new and used gear, including skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, goggles, outerwear, and more. The swap will be held in Okemo’s Clock Tower base Lodge and runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday Nov. 20. A special preview will be held Friday, Nov. 18 from 4-7 p.m. Cost for the preview is $5, but employees of the resort get free admission. You can drop off gear you want to sell on consignment (it can’t be older than seven years) at Okemo’s First Aid building in the Clock Tower area Nov. 12, 13, and 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Get more info at (802) 228-1600.
