SNOWBANK PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE HUSBAND

by Craig Altschul

Burlington’s Marge Carlson,85, is making local headlines with the sculpture on her front lawn that has a pair of her late husband’s jeans sticking out of the top, said the Burlington Free Press. It all started when two neighborhood kids, Liam, 9, and Noah Patullo, 11, transformed a huge pile of snow on Marge’s front lawn into an igloo. Enter Marge’s son, Stanley, who then added his own touch. He added a pair of “legs” encased in his father’s jeans that appeared to be stuck in the snow as if “he” had fallen head first into the igloo. Marge said her husband, Harold “Swede” Carlson, “loved stuff like that. He’d get the biggest kick out of seeing those dungarees.” Apparently, people living in the area got the same kick out of the sculpture.
