Spring Skiing In Vermont

Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate with us in Vermont.  This winter arrived with little snow and mild temps.  Spring has arrived early, forcing several area ski areas to close down for the season already, with more anticipating closing earlier than planned.

Here is  the current status of the Ski Areas in Vermont:

Northern Vermont –
Jay Peak
– Open (No set closing date)
Smugglers’ Notch  Resort- Open (Anticipated closing date 4/3)
Stowe Mountain Resort – Open (Anticipated closing date 4/24)
Q Burke Mountain Resort – Open (Closing 3/27)
Bolton Valley – Open (Closing 3/20)

Central Vermont –
Killington Mountain Resort
– Open (Anticipated closing date 5/1)
Okemo Mountain Resort – Open (Anticipated closing date 4/10)
Sugarbush Resort – Open (Anticipated closing date 4/10)
Mad River Glen – Closed for the season.
Middlebury Snow Bowl – Currently closed.  Anticipating opening on 3/18 for their final weekend.
Pico Mountain – Closed for the season.
Ski Quechee – Closed for the season.
Suicide Resort – Closed for the season.

Southern Vermont –
Stratton Mountain 
– Open (Anticipating closing date 4/10)
Mount Snow – Open (Anticipated closing date 4/3)
Bromley Mountain – Open (Closing 3/20)
The Hermitage Club – Currently closed. Reopening on 3/8 weather permitting (Anticipated closing date 4/10)
Magic Mountain – Closed for the season

Closing dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
