STARLIGHT, STARBRIGHT, TAKE A STOWE SNOWSHOE TOUR TONIGHT

by Craig Altschul

Here’s a fun new activity for Stowe guests. A group of up to 10 people (ages 10 and up of all ability levels) can catch the last chair on the Sensation Quad and begin a Starlight Snowshoe Tour at the top of the lift to Sterling Pond. That’s Vermont’s highest living alpine lake. You’ll snowshoe across the lake at dusk and then down some remote ski trails. There’s even a hot chocolate and hot apple cider break. The tour includes a headlamp and snowshoes. Another tour, known as the Evening Snowshoe Tour, takes guests from the lodge to several spots around the area. If you are wondering, there is some truth to the old adage, “if you can walk, you can snowshoe.”
