It’s early yet, of course, but by the time the season ends sometime next spring Stowe Mountain Resort will likely rack up its annual average of 333 inches of snow (28 feet). Very few resorts east of the Rockies receive more natural snowfall than that. Add in the snowmaking capacity, helped by an additional 110 millions of gallons of water storage in a newly constructed lake, an infusion of $400 million into a resort-wide revitalization plan and the “granddaddy’ of the ski resort world is looking like a kid again.
