Stowehof Inn and Resort – Breathtaking

by Vermont.com Staff

From the moment you see the white maple trees supporting the entrance way to The Stowehof Inn and Resort, the magic begins.

When you walk into the lobby and see yet another white maple, this one inside the building, you’re transformed.

Located on thirty secluded acres, The Stowehof Inn and Resort and Emily’s, their fine dining restaurant, can be summed up in one word, “Wow”. The natural beauty of the area is breath taking, and you don’t have to leave it behind when you have dinner. While admiring the magnificent scenery when you dine at Emily’s, you will be entranced as a horse drawn sleigh glides by just outside the window.

Donny, the maitre d, made knowledgeable suggestions. My companions and I began our dinner with selections from the day’s specials: Baked Shrimp Stuffed with Crabmeat, Hannah’s Special Salad, (a delightful mix of Baby Greens with Balsamic Maple Vinaigrette topped with Grilled Asparagus), and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. For dinner we chose Seared Twin Lamb Porterhouse, Steak Diane, and Grilled Bison Sirloin. Dinner was superb.

Emily’s also boasts an extensive wine list and provides exceptional catering for the many receptions, weddings, conferences and corporate retreats for which The Stowehof Inn and Resort are well known.

For lighter fare, Coslin’s Pub is also open to the public. Both are open for dinner 6:00 – 9:30pm. Call 1-800-932-7136 for address/directions and further information or click on The Stowehof Inn and Resort.
