Stratton Mountain Invites You to Mark Your Calendar

Stratton SkierIf you are a ski fanatic, you look forward to the end of November as the kick-off of ski season in Vermont. As always, Stratton Mountain embraces this tradition and rolls out the white carpet with great skiing and special events.

The lifts start spinning at 8:30 am on Saturday, Nov. 23. Plan now, to launch your season with first tracks. Take a break sometime between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm Saturday or Sunday to get a photo with Santa at the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan.

Stratton Gobble Gobble Wobble 5KThanksgiving weekend (Nov. 28 – Dec. 1) continues the celebration with a number of special events in addition to magnificent skiing. Join the annual Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 am (pre-register or sign up before the race).

Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner at the comfortable, family-friendly Table 43.1 at the Black Bear Lodge. Seatings at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Cost for adults and children 13+: $44, children 12 and under: $10.

Holidays Season in the Stratton VillageFriday, Nov. 29th sees the holiday season in full swing with the Village Stroll at 5:00 pm. Shops and restaurants offer tasty treats, raffles, contests, and special events. (This is a great opportunity to pick up a few holiday gifts!)

At 5:30 pm, take a break for the official Snowlight in Vermont tree lighting ceremony. You can dedicate a tree to your family or to the memory of someone special. Proceeds benefit children & families in need throughout the holidays, and all year long.

Stratton SkierAnother event taking pace over the weekend (Nov. 29-Dec. 1) is the Vermont Ski & Sport sale at the Greg Needell Gymnasium, on the Stratton Mountain School Campus. This fundraiser supports Stratton Mountain School skiers in their pursuit to become champions and offers new and used equipment for sale.

Get inspired by joining the crowd at the Stratton Mountain School Summit Film Series with the showing of Warren Miller’s Timeless. Presented by Volkswagen, this film is dedicated to the enduring spirit of winter and seven decades of ski cinematography.
