It’s akin to following in their shoes as Bennington area school children involved with their own school bands were given the opportunity to march alongside the Mount Anthony Union High School marching band during a football half-time show, said the Bennington Banner. The 214 kids only rehearsed for 2.5 hours, but they were ready to perform. The older kids gave the younger ones tips on how to play, where to stand, and how to march. One kid was even given the directive to “add more cowbell.” “They’re so awesome,” said April Foley, a student at the Pownal Elementary School. No comment from the high school mentors on their impressions.
