This will be the final Foliage Report for 2017. Check back next year after Labor Day for the 2018 reporting to begin.
NORTHERN VERMONT
Leaves are falling around here so foliage season is pretty much over. However, the fun continues with the upcoming Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot, a 4 mile run/race/jog/walk/stroll to raise funds for H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everyday, Lyndonville). Race begins at 8:30 am Thanksgiving morning at the Cafe Lotti in E. Burke.

CENTRAL VERMONT
The yellows and oranges have been joined by some surprising bursts of red around Chester, Proctorsville and Ludlow. The drive up Route 103, through Proctorsville Gulf, glows yellow and gold, even on the cloudy days. Though some trees are dropping some of their leaves, there are enough colors still to make a beautiful vista.

SOUTHERN VERMONT
Although leaves are down here at the top of the mountain in Woodford, there is still some color in Bennington and Route 7 towards Manchester. The rain and wind hasn’t helped, but weather is supposed to be lovely this Friday and Saturday.

Foliage season is on its way out here at Marlboro College, but there is still some color which we could enjoy if it would stop raining. Waiting for the sun on Friday!
