THERE’S PLENTY OF SNOW, SO HEAD TO STOWE

by Craig Altschul

You could get depressed watching TV forecasters lament the low snow for skiing. What do they know? Take Stowe as one example of why they’re, well, all wet. Almost 60 percent of Stowe’s trails are open and waiting for you. That’s 66 of 116 runs. The mountain has picked up 14 inches of fresh snow the past six days over an existing packed powder base. There’s plenty to ski and ride on, so knock off the sadsack stuff. It’s not just Stowe, either. You’ll find plenty of trails open across the entire state. You can check out the most up-to-the-minute snow condition reports right here at Vermont.com. Our reports are compiled for you by SnoCountry, the nation’s most reliable service. So, don’t hesitate. We all want much more snow, of course, and it will come. Meanwhie, don’t change your plans – make them.
