Mother Nature and Old Man Winter might have taken a brief vacation but we are finally getting snow in Vermont. Several of the ski areas in the state have reported receiving snow in the last 24 hours and the weather forecast is predicting snow showers over the next couple of days.
Stratton Mountain Resort in southern, VT reported that they received 4 inches of new snow overnight and the snow makers have joined in on making snow on several of the trails.
Just a little further north, Okemo Mountain Resort in mid-Vermont, is happy to report that they received between 2-4 inches of fluffy snow. As you can see by their snow report, they just recently added the Lower Fall Line and Easy Rider to their list , which brings it to a total of 84 trails up and running.
All the way up in northern, Vermont, Smugglers Notch Resort has chimed in that the mountain received 1 inch of new snow with more snow showers expected the next 2 days.
To keep up to date on the current ski conditions check out the Ski And Snow Report. The Hermitage Club, the largest private ski club in the East, has its own ski report. Before jumping in your car, you might want to check out the current weather conditions.
