Vermont Ski Report as of 12/2/16

Here are the current ski conditions in Vermont as of 12/2/16.

Smugglers Notch currently has 4 trails open and 1 lift operating. So far they have made up to 12″ to 26″ of snow.  They have received so far 6″ to 10″of natural snow bringing the season total so to 42″ According to their website they are expecting up to 7″ of new snow by Sunday night and weather permitting they are hoping to resume snow making.

OKemo Mountain Resort currently has 11 trails open and 4 lifts operating.  The Noreaster in the Terrain Park is open with 9 different features to test your skills at.  Although they have not received any new snow they have a base depth of 8” to 14″. Visit the mountain on Sunday Dec 4th for their Okemo Cares and Shares Food Drive. If you donate at least five non-perishable food items, a new child’s toy, new clothing item, or $20 cash you will receive a coupon for a $39 lift ticket good on this day. Donations will be collected in the Clock Tower Base Plaza from 8am – 1pm.*RFID lift access card required for redemption. If you do not have a registered Real.EasyCard, one may be purchased for $5.00 at time of redemption.  Sounds like a win win to me. You get to donate to a good cause and get a lift $39 lift ticket for the day.

Stratton Mountain Resort has 12 trails open and 4 lifts running.  So far they have a cumulative snowfall of 15″and a 14″ base.  They are currently making snow on 5 trails and they are hoping with the temps dropping in to their favorite snow making range, they are hoping to be blowing snow all weekend for your skiing pleasure,

Jay Peak currently has 2 trails open and it is currently snow and they are hoping to get an additional 1/2 foot of snow by Sunday night.  Snow making is to resume tonight focusing on the upper terrain and if once the temps get low enough they can also concentrate on the lower mountain elevations.  This is weather dependent of course so make sure to keep your fingers and toes crossed.  Saturday, 12/3 kicks off their 7 day operation schedule.

Stowe Mountain Resort has 16 trails open and 5 lifts operating right now.  Since the season began they have received 2″ to 12″ of natural snow and have been able to make 12″ to 24 ” of man made snow.  They received 6″‘ of snow at the summit overnight and the weather calls for an additional few inches over the next 24 hours.

Sugurbush Resort has 9 trails open and with 2 lifts in operation. They have received a total of 8″ of fresh snow in the last 48 hours bringing it to a season total so far of 51″ They are continuing to make snow and once the temps dip low enough they can also concentrate on the lower elevations.

Killington Resort has 17 trails open as well as 6 lifts in operation.  They have an average base of 10″ to 16″ and the total season snow so far is 37.5″.  With temperatures finally dipping below freezing they are now able to get those snow guns up and running again.
