Vermont Ski Resorts Are Open!

Yes, it’s been a warmer winter than usual this year, but that hasn’t stopped the Vermont ski resorts from making snow. Lots of snow! They’re ready and waiting for you right now. If you’re heading to northern Vermont this weekend, this is what you can expect (as of January 7, 2016):

SmuggsBolton Valley  7% open, 5 of 71 trails
Jay Peak  56% open, 44 of 78 trails
Q Burke Mountain  24% open, 12 of 50 trails
Smuggler’s Notch  38% open, 30 of 78 trails
Stowe Mountain  53% open, 62 of 116
Sugarbush  80% open, 89 of 111 trails

Even better – because some visitors have stayed away based upon warm weather forecasts, lift
