The Bliss Village Store in Bradford has become more than a place to pick up the paper or a few household items. The Bradford Journal Opinion says it is “a family of workers and customers who return again and again for the fantastic food, familiar faces, and latest local news.”
Donna Lally says she knows exactly what to bring out to some customers. “One regular comes in and says good morning, gets his coffee, asks how I’m doing, and then goes in the dining room to read his paper while he waits. I bring him his number four – eggs over easy, sausage, homefries, and toast.” She said she’s had wives come in to order sandwiches for their husbands. “I knew what they wanted and the wives didn’t.”
