VOLUNTEERS TURN OUT TO TURN ON MAGIC

by Craig Altschul

Magic Mountain in Londonderry will be ready to greet skiers and snowboarders this winter, and a big degree of magic is because of more than 100 volunteers turned out for three “Volunteer Days.” The volunteers worked on clearing new glades, mowing trails, and putting a fresh coat of pain around the lodge and lifts. “Magic is deep-down a community-based ski area of winter enthusiasts  who are passionate about the enjoyment and fellowship of skiing and riding as a sport,” said Jim Sullivan, Magic Mountain president. By the way, here’s a trivia question for you? How old will Magic Mountain be this winter? Hint – half a hundred.
