Opening day at Smugglers’ Notch is Friday, Nov. 29. Why not welcome the season with a special Thanksgiving weekend away? Make reservations by Nov. 15, stay 3 or more days, and receive the next night absolutely FREE. But that’s not all. Smuggs will also include a free one-day lift ticket with the vacation package. This is the perfect time to start your ski season and take advantage of special offers as well as lots of exceptional holiday events.

On Thursday, prepare your own Thanksgiving meal in your fully-equipped kitchen, or purchase an entire pre-cooked meal at the Smuggs Country Store.  Other options include Thanksgiving dinner at either 158 Main in Jeffersonville (served between noon and 4:00 pm) or at the Hearth & Candle at the resort (served between 2:00 and 7:00 pm). Not cooking? Stay busy with a Scavenger Hunt at 10:00 am. Then eat your fill and get a good night’s rest because you’ll want to get out early on Friday for opening day on the slopes.

Smugglers’ Notch has many events scheduled for the weekend, so plan your day well. There are hay rides and musical entertainment to engage the little ones, take a family river walk, and don’t miss the ice carving display from 4:30-5:30 pm on Friday. As always, take advantage of the FunZone 2.0 or the courtside pool. Feeling lucky? Play bingo for cash and prizes at 6:30.

On Saturday, take advantage of the same resort amenities, but save time for fireworks and Santa’s arrival at 6:00 pm in FunZone 2.0. Join Santa 6:15-7:00 pm for cookies & lemonade, and enjoy a Game Show Showdown at The Meeting House 7:30-8:30 pm.
